For next year's Best practices Conference, we plan to incorporate a few changes based on observations, attendee feedback and overall improvements that we think will positively impact the next event. We would like to explore the possibilities of hosting the conference at a larger venue, make video/audio available, and structure the sessions to have less of a classroom lecture feel and coalesce more of a "give and go" style with the moderator. Several of our sessions which utilized a discussion style, versus PowerPoint presentation, were rated higher in the evaluations and we want to let you know that we listen! We have taken your feedback and will work with it for next year's conference. We also ran behind on time due to confusion on speaking times and we promise to correct the issue because punctuality is important to us. We would like to make UTSA a practical catalyst for the exchange of community ideas and make our office space available to the many community groups that have resulted from our Eagle Ford Shale Community Development Program. Currently, we are working to develop a section of our website design to encourage the exchange of ideas, topics and methods that prove to be beneficial for some groups and spread the wealth of knowledge with other program participants.
